The Hamilton County Home Improvement Loan Program surpassed $40 million in loans.

The program, which allows homeowners in Hamilton County communities to borrow money to repair or remodel homes or rental property at interest rates 3 percent below current bank rates, was proposed as an incentive for property owners to improve their homes. In addition, the goal was to create jobs and stop the flight of people, businesses and revenue from the county.
