A Conversation with a Friend

I had lunch with a good friend last week who owns a management consulting company.  As always, the conversation was insightful and useful.  We are both especially interested in customer relations management, so that was our primary topic.

We compared stories and they were startling!  How about calling a purported sales professional and never receiving a return call?  Or asking questions and receiving a response like: "gosh I don't know" or "that's just the way we do things"?

This is no way to conduct a successful business regardless of the industry!  Consider the last few calls you've made; what was your experience?  Did the experience enhance or diminish your desire to consider using the business again?

Now, let's suppose you are a service provider.   Do you provide outstanding service each time you have the opportunity?  If you cannot answer affirmatively, you should review your business plan, your behavior and your goal for the future.

No matter how good you think you are, perhaps an evaluation of your interaction with people on all levels.

Let's hear some ideas on making a difference!
